Cartagena de Besilu is sired by Bribon de San Isidro which was Champion and still competes at the top level with more than 13 years of age showing how good he is. Bribon, a top producer of Classic Fino offspring, has been on the PFHA’s Top 10 Sires list 7 consecutive years from 2012 through 2018.

Her dam La Romeria de Besilu is a top Champion Fino mare in Puerto Rico sired by Profeta Segundo de Besilu. He is known for his pleasant temperament, strong fino gait and striking mirrored appearance of his sire Profeta de Besilu.

Looking further back in her pedigree are many of the greats known to have influenced the Paso Fino breed into what it is today; Capitan de La Vitrina, Amadeus de Resorte Cuarto, Profeta de Besilu, Manuela del Conde, Capuchino.

Cartagena has natural ability and is just starting her show career in the Fino division. Her movement is so natural she can effortlessly perform a tight, collected and quick Fino gait simply by being lead by a handler.
