Caramel de Besilu’s sire is one of the most sought after internationally recognized breeding stallions, Dulce Sueño de Lusitania. Dulce Sueño has been awarded in Colombia the prestigious title of “Jefe de la Raza” (Sire of Sires) continuously from 2010-2019 and appeared on the PFHA’s Top Ten Sires list for 2017-2019.

Caramel is out of Fortuna de Besilu who not only comes from outstanding bloodlines but has proven herself in the show ring by holding an international title, and seven national titles. The dam of Fortuna was an elegant Classic Fino mare and on her sire’s side she is by National Champion 4 year old Fino Colt, Maraquero deVitral LaRosa, who has appeared on the Top 10 Sire’s List for five consecutive years. Maraquero is the son of Vitral, and three time world champion, Maraquita la Rosa. Maraquita was a crowd favorite, and she was known for her extremely rapid footfall in the Fino gait. Another interesting note is that Maraquero is also the sire of one of Besilu’s past top producing breeding stallions, Atributo de United.
