The dam of Calendula de Besilu is multi National Champion Fino mare, FlorSabaneraDPotreroChico who is sired by Bribon de San Isidro. Bribon is a proven top producer of Classic Fino offspring. Bribon has been on the PFHA’s Top 10 Sires list 7 consecutive years 2012-2018.

Flor is out of Colombian mare T E FlorLimeña deVuelta G who is a daughter of the great Resplandor Tres making her half sibling to the Multi-World Champion Fino Stallion Joyero Tercero.

Calendula’s sire is one of the most sought after internationally recognized breeding stallions, Dulce Sueño de Lusitania. Dulce Sueño has been awarded in Colombia the prestigious title of “Jefe de la Raza” (Sire of Sires) continuously from 2010-2017 and appeared on the PFHA’s Top Ten Sires list for 2017 and 2018.
