Biography

This filly is a daughter of Prestigio de La Querencia, one of Besilu Collection’s herd sires. Prestigio’s sire is Concierto de la Querencia, a son of Patrimonio del Ocho. Patrimonio was a Classic Fino stallion and prolific sire in Colombia of numerous Mundial and Colombian National Champions. Concierto is out of a mare by Zodiaco de Lusitania, which is an older bloodline that is becoming extremely desirable in horses in the show ring today. Prestigio, is the son of the famous mare Colombiana, who is the daughter of Horizonte and Mil Sueños, both full siblings of Resplandor Tres. An interesting fact about Resplandor is that he is the sire of multi-Grand World Champion Fino Stallion, Joyero Tercero. Also worth mentioning on the pedrigree of Prestigio is the importance of Amadeus de Resorte Cuarto, which is one of the most influential breeding stallions from Colombia with more than 1900 offspring. He had been named Fuera de Concurso, Campeon de Campeones, Mejor Jefe de Raza and Mejor Caballo del Ano (for five consecutive years) in Colombia, as well as Top 10 Sire for PFHA for many years.

This filly is out of multi Champion mare La Novia de Besilu is sired by Spectrum Hall of Fame, Multi World Champion Fino Stallion, four-time Ponce Champion, World Cup Champion Fino Stallion in 2011, 2013, and 2015, and Grand World Cup Champion in 2011, 2015, Joyero Tercero. Known for his amazing talent in the Classic Fino gait and appearing on the PFHA’s Top 10 Sires list multiple times, he has made a statement as a breeding stallion.

Novia’s dam is Salome de Lusitania. Salome is 2008 Ponce, Puerto Rico International Champion, 2008 IPHF Nationals: 1st Place Fino Mare and Reserve Grand Champion Fino Mare, 2007 Mundial World Champion Fino Filly in her age group, 2006 Colombian Expounaga Grand Champion. She also has first placements at multiple shows in Colombia before being imported to the United States. La Novia’s grandsire on the dam’s side is Extasis. He is a Classic Fino stallion with National and International placements. He is 2008 IPHF Nationals 2nd Place Fino Stallion. 2005 and 2007 Fedequinas National, Colombia 2d in his age group, 2007 Confepaso Mundial 4th Place Fino Stallion in his age group.
