Melao is proving himself to have inherited his sire’s potency to produce. He son of one of the most sought after internationally recognized breeding stallion, Dulce Sueño de Lusitania. Dulce Sueño has been awarded in Colombia the prestigious title of “Jefe de la Raza” (Sire of Sires) continuously from 2010-2017 and appeared on the PFHA’s Top Ten Sires list for 2017.

La Orquidea’s dam, Buganvilia del Caney is sired by Terremoto de Manizales who was a legendary breeding stallion in Colombia. Terremoto was a Chocolate color with flaxen mane and tail who possessed a tight Fino gait that was highly sought after.
